How the pack gets made

From studio numbers to a clear call.

Soft launch

  1. Name the title or cohort.
  2. Upload one KPI CSV row or enter four measured KPIs: day-1 retention (% who return next day), day-7 retention (% still around after a week), cost per install ($ to buy one install), and early ROAS (early revenue ÷ ad spend). Also enter UA spend to date.
  3. Apply a genre threshold pack — the pass/fail bars your numbers must clear — or edit them.
  4. Run. Each gate shows your number versus the bar. Pass 3 or 4 → SCALE. Pass 2 → ITERATE. Pass 0 or 1 → KILL. The pack labels burn as Assumed: spend × multiplier.

What Soft numbers mean

Each Soft pack checks four gates. Left side is your measured number; right side is the bar you must clear. Pass three or four → SCALE. Pass two → ITERATE. Pass zero or one → KILL.

    Pass when your % is at or above the minimum.

    Share of players still coming back one week after install.

    Pass when your % is at or above the minimum.

    Average dollars spent to get one install.

    Pass when your $ is at or below the maximum.

  • ROASEarly return on ad spend

    Early revenue ÷ ad spend. 0.40 means you earned $0.40 for every $1 spent so far.

    Pass when your multiple is at or above the minimum.

How the verdict is scored

  • SCALE3 or 4 of 4 gates pass — Strong enough to widen spend.
  • ITERATE2 of 4 gates pass — Fix weak gates before you scale.
  • KILL0 or 1 of 4 gates pass — Stop — more weeks will not save it.

Live release

  1. Name the title and platform.
  2. Upload a version CSV or enter versions oldest → newest with revenue and installs.
  3. Tune the drop percentage and horizon if your bar differs from 15% / 7 days.
  4. Run. The pack returns HEALTHY or CLIFF, a sparkline, and Assumed dollars at risk over the selected horizon.

What it is not

Not a BI suite, crash reporter, or MMP. Soft thresholds start as genre templates; Live defaults to a 15% drop versus the prior mean. Review and adjust both before treating the call as final.
